Honorable Mention Rituals Robert E. Jordan Our agile, small progenies shimmy up a drainpipe to the roof of the warehouse, on a dark Sunday night. Sit there sharing a pack of smokes, communing the great Gods woe-be-gone and ne’er-do-well. The mysterious rituals, not well known, practiced in dark places away from sight in solemn songs and incantations. Tobacco incense curling heavenward, summons spirits of conversation. Away from a world that claims to care, away from tepid supervision, away from vile recrimination, away from vapid personification, true freedom can be found.
